  5. Granite Countertop and Tile Floor Installation?

    I am having a local granite and tile floor shop redo my kitchen countertop and tile floor in kitchen and surrounding areas. They are telling me that the total installation will take 1 day. It's about 514 sq ft in tile. They say they want to lay the tile first, then install the granite counter top. Does this make sense? I'm a little concerned about the weight of the granite being moved around on the tile before the tile has cured. Is this common practice?
